Military, First Responders and Hockey Fights Cancer all in one action packed weekend.
Come to the MasterCard Center this weekend where the Toronto Furies take on top seeded Calgary Inferno for back-to-back games.
This will mark a special weekend, as we will be honoring one of our own Alumni Sarah Stevenson whom suddenly passed away late last week. Players will be sporting a sticker in tribute of the late Stevenson. SS#7 will be worn to commemorate an exceptional young woman that past too soon.
Our Saturday game that commences at 7pm will also pay tribute to all Military and First Responders. It is these individuals that we can pay tribute to our freedom. With their tireless efforts to protect our country, we thank them. All Military and First Responders whom show ID or come dressed in their attire shall receive a discount into the game.
Our Sunday game, with a puck drop at 1pm will acknowledge our support for #HockeyFightsCancer. This season the Toronto Furies have decided to donate to the Movember Movement. The Movember Foundation is the only global charity focused solely on men's health, so this Movember the Toronto Furies are getting on board. We are raising funds to tackle some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and poor mental health!
