RECAP – MTL 1 @ TOR 2

Toronto, ON – The Toronto Furies returned home on Saturday evening to take on Les Canadiennes de Montreal in a rematch of their October weekend series where Les Canadiennes beat the Furies in back to back games.

Montreal opened the scoring at the 9:58 mark of the first period when Shannon Moulson of the Furies was sent off for hooking and Caroline Ouellette (6) made the most of the Montreal power play. Assisting on the goal were Sarah Lefort and Mari-Philip Poulin. Toronto would get their opportunity on the power play later on in the period when Emmanuelle Blais was sent off for tripping but they were unable to capitalize. It would take less than five minutes for the tie to be broken as Kelly Terry gave Toronto the lead at the 4:16 mark of the third period. Assisting on the play were Kohanchuk and Emily Fulton. Despite their efforts, Montreal would be unable to tie the game at the end of 60 minutes and giving Toronto the 2 – 1 win.
