Nicole Latreille comes to the team from Ottawa, ON where she was the Athletic Coordinator and Skill Development Coach for AMPED Sports Lab. Nicole holds a Post Graduate degree in Sports Business Management and has been working for multiple National Sport Organizations for the past eight (8) years. Her extensive knowledge of the game and diverse background in marketing, social media, sponsorship and sport management will help elevate the Furies brand and continue drive them towards success.
A former elite-level hockey player for Guelph University and the Ottawa Raiders, Nicole is hoping to develop an atmosphere where the athletes can focus solely on performance excellence. Her main goal is to engage the community, build the Furies brand and create a platform that allows the athletes to succeed.
Nicole has also been coaching at all levels for the past ten (10) years. Most notably she was a part of the coaching staff for Team Canada Ball Hockey in 2013 where they captured the Gold Medal. Nicole has also travelled to Dunedin New Zealand as a Skill Development coach. There she brought her passion for the game and worked with athletes of all ages and levels. Nicole understands what it takes to create a winning atmosphere and is looking to replicate that with the Furies.
Flanagan comes to Toronto after serving as assistant coach with Team Canada East at the World Jr A Challenge, helping them capture the silver medal. He has also worked in a number of capacities with the women’s and men’s programs with the University of Guelph, winning the McCaw Cup with the women’s program in 2016 and 2017. Over the course of his career he has gained extensive experience as a Head and Assistant Coach at the Junior, University and Professional levels.
Originally from Dublin, ON, Flanagan has been a Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations for a combined five seasons in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League. He coached several Top Prospect/All Star games including facing off against the Russian MHL All Star team and was named Coach of the Year in 2012-13.
Flanagan also has extensive experience coaching internationally, with his first season in professional hockey coming in 2004, when he served as assistant coach with the Basingstroke Bison of the EIHL in the United Kingdom. Flanagan made his head coaching debut with Val Gardena of the Italian Professional Series A, taking over the helm in late 2008. Under his leadership the team moved from sixth to fourth and reached the play-off semi-finals. Between 2006 and 2009 he spent time as a head and assistant coach with the Johnstown Chiefs and the Reading Royals of the ECHL (affiliated with the Minnesota Wild and Los Angeles Kings respectively). During his time in the ECHL Flanagan coached two players who went on to play in the NHL and numerous others that were called up to the AHL.

Jeff and his wife Rachel, who is the Head Coach of the women’s hockey team at the University of Guelph, reside in Guelph with their two children, Cylus and Cullen.
